Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 30, 2026

These terms cover your use of the OhMyCalm app and website. By creating an account or subscribing to OhMyCalm Plus, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the app — and if you have already subscribed, you can cancel at any time as described below.

1. What OhMyCalm Is — and Is Not

OhMyCalm is a self-reflection journal. It helps you write down a difficult moment, notice the patterns in what you write, and receive a letter back about them.

  • It is not medical care. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, or crisis service.
  • It is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line. The app's crisis resources are always available, free, and never behind a subscription or a lock.
  • Parts of it are written by AI. Letters, thread matches and suggested experiments are generated by a language model. They can be wrong, and they are offered as a prompt for your own reflection, not as instruction.

2. Your Account

You need an account to sync across devices. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at — it is how a password reset reaches you.

The app is not intended for children under 13, and where local law sets a higher age for consent to data processing, that age applies instead.

3. What You Write Stays Yours

Your reflections, letters and recordings belong to you. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your entries, process them to generate your letters and threads, and show them back to you. We do not sell them, publish them, or use them to train models. How they are handled in detail is in the Privacy Policy.

You can delete your account, and everything in it, from the app's settings at any time.

4. OhMyCalm Plus Subscriptions

OhMyCalm Plus is an optional paid subscription. The free tier remains usable without it: writing, saving and reading your own reflections is never behind the paywall.

  • Where you are billed. Subscriptions are sold and billed by the App Store or Google Play, not by us. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Length and price. Plans are offered monthly or yearly. The exact price, billing period and any introductory price are shown in your own currency on the purchase screen before you confirm — that screen, and your store receipt, are the authority on what you pay.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your store charges the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
  • Free trial, when offered. If a free trial is included, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
  • Introductory offers. A reduced starting price applies only where your store offers one to your account, and only for the period stated at purchase; the standard price applies afterwards. Eligibility is determined by the store, not by us.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time in your store account settings (App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google Play: Payments & subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Plus until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, since the store took the payment. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase, but write to us and we will help you make the request.
  • Price changes. If a price changes, the store notifies you and asks for your consent where its rules require it. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
  • What Plus includes. Plus features are described in the app at the point of purchase. Features may be added or changed over time; anything you have already received — including letters and their audio — stays available to you.

5. Fair Use

Please do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, use it to harm others, resell access, or share content that is illegal. We may suspend an account that does.

6. Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features that depend on AI providers or app stores can be unavailable for reasons outside our control. We may change or discontinue parts of the service; where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, you can cancel as described above.

7. Ending These Terms

You may stop using OhMyCalm at any time by deleting your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms or that we are legally required to close. Where you have paid for an unused period and we close your account for a reason other than a breach, ask us and we will help you seek a refund from the store.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, OhMyCalm is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The updated version is posted here with a new "Last Updated" date, and continued use of the app after that means you accept it. If a change affects a subscription you already hold, your store's own consent rules apply.
