At OhMyCalm, we believe your thoughts are yours and yours alone. We designed our self-reflection platform to be private by default. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide a functioning service and sync your reflections securely across your devices:
Account Information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed) to authenticate you and sync your journal.
Voice Reflections & Transcriptions: When you record a voice reflection, the audio is sent securely and encrypted to our servers. We use it solely to generate transcriptions and synthesize your personalized letters. Once processed, the raw audio and intermediate transcriptions are deleted and never stored permanently or used for model training.
Journal Data: Your written entries, generated letters, and thread categories are stored securely in our database so that you can access them across your logged-in devices.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to power the core OhMyCalm experience:
To transcribe your voice notes and extract key emotional themes.
To generate compassionate personal letters and organize reflections into pattern threads.
To suggest personalized micro-habits and tiny experiments.
To synchronize your data securely across your devices.
We never sell your reflection data, personal details, or email address to third parties, and we never use your data for advertising.
3. Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard security protocols to ensure your reflections stay private:
All communication with our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS).
Your journal entries and generated letters are stored encrypted at rest.
We use a secure LLM processing seam. Reflections sent for AI processing are not saved by the AI provider, are not cached, and are never used to train machine learning models.
4. Data Deletion & Account Purge
You have full ownership of your data at all times. You can delete your account and all associated reflection data directly from the app settings. When you request account deletion, we immediately restrict access to your account and permanently erase all your data from our active databases and file systems after a 14-day grace period.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
